About WatchPopcorn
WatchPopcorn is a discovery interface for browsing movie, TV-series and anime information. This page explains what the catalogue contains, where its metadata comes from and how visitors can report a correction.
What the catalogue provides
Title pages organize factual information such as release dates, genres, runtimes, creators, cast, studios, ratings and related titles when those fields are available from the source service. Clickable cast, director and TV-creator names lead to profiles with source-backed biographies, complete acting and behind-the-camera movie and TV credits, and clear labels for titles already present in the maintained WatchPopcorn catalogue.
Ratings are labelled by source. A missing value is shown as unavailable rather than replaced with an estimated score or review count.
Corrections and updates
Catalogue information can change when a source record is updated. If a title, date, credit or other field appears incorrect, send the exact page URL and the field that needs review through the contact page.
Temporary upstream failures may delay artwork or detailed metadata without changing the title's permanent WatchPopcorn address.
Movie, TV and person data
Movie, TV-series and person metadata and artwork are supplied through the TMDB API. Each movie, TV and cast-profile page links to its matching source record.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Anime data
Anime titles, formats, studios, episode information and scores are retrieved from the AniList public API. Each anime page links to its matching AniList record.
WatchPopcorn is not AniList and does not imply endorsement by AniList.
Playback and third parties
WatchPopcorn does not store video files on its server. Playback, comments and other embedded features are provided by third-party services and can have separate availability and privacy practices.
How to browse
Use the permanent Movies, TV Series and Anime hubs for discovery. The Title Directory lists every detail page currently included in the maintained XML sitemaps. The People Directory highlights substantive actors, directors and creators connected across multiple maintained titles.
